Alien's mission is to solve the online trust problem.

Alien tackles the issue of online identity uniqueness through a user-owned economic and governance ecosystem. The ecosystem is built as an open protocol meant to be owned by all people equally and designed to be a public good: non-excludable (open to all unique humans without restrictions) and non-rivalrous (one person's use doesn't diminish another's ability to use it). It operates on credible neutrality principles.

Through its unique technology and foundational decisions, Alien aims to provide everyone in the world access to the growing digital and global economy in a privacy-preserving and decentralized way. At the heart of this ecosystem, every individual is a verified real person, maintaining absolute control over their digital assets and personal data. All humans are equal in the protocol: one human can have only one Alien ID, run only one consensus node, have only one vote, and receive an identical amount of Aliencoin from the protocol.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who thrives in high-velocity environments. You will be responsible for designing and building the mini apps that populate Alien’s Mini App Marketplace. You should be able to move seamlessly between frontend and backend, scope appropriately, run tight review cycles, and deliver high-quality apps that showcase Alien’s proof-of-personhood ecosystem.

Tech Stack

TypeScript, Next.js, Go, Python, Firebase, gRPC, REST, Swagger, Git, GitHub Actions, PostgreSQL, NATS, Docker, AWS (Lightsail, CloudWatch, S3), Web3 libraries (ethers.js, web3.js), Smart Contracts (Solidity, Rust), Identity frameworks (DIDs, VCs).

Tasks

• Design and develop mini apps that leverage Alien ID’s unique verification layer for use cases like voting, polls, surveys, airdrops, rewards, deals, human-only spaces, and social games.
• Build scalable APIs and backend services to support high-volume app usage across global markets.
• Create frontend interfaces that are intuitive, secure, and optimized for viral adoption.
• Integrate Alien Wallet and Alien Agent SDK into mini app experiences.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and ecosystem partners to prioritize and deliver high-impact apps.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance in all apps handling identity and transactions.
• Write unit tests and monitoring systems to maintain quality at scale.
• Contribute to Alien’s open-source codebase and developer documentation for the mini app ecosystem.
